COVID-19 Response Statement: Stonerise Skilled Nursing Centers
There is nothing we take more seriously than the safety and wellbeing of our patients and all of our team members who care for them. Our mission to do what is best for the people we serve has never been stronger than since the onset of the pandemic when we began the development and implementation of our proactive COVID-19 strategy, which is focused on Prevention, Detection & Treatment and Support.
Prevent – From the beginning, we have implemented aggressive prevention efforts aimed at keeping patients and all of our team members safe and healthy.
Detect & Treat – We are acting quickly to detect and safely treat patients affected by COVID-19.
Support – We are providing our patients, their loved ones and our employees tools and resources to support their wellbeing during these challenging times.
At this time, Stonerise continues to limit all visitor access within the 17 skilled nursing centers it supports across West Virginia due to concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19. This decision was made in an effort to protect our state’s most vulnerable population. We do not take this decision lightly and understand how difficult this will be for residents and their loved ones. We understand the significance of limiting visitor access because we treat our centers like patients’ homes, and patients rely heavily on the support of their families. We are proud to offer televisit capability to ensure our patients have the ability to visit with family, friends, and clergy via video. Click here to schedule a televisit.
We continue to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) closely. Additionally, we are regularly in touch with Governor Justice’s office, our state and local health departments, and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.

We know how important it is for patients to be able to visit with their loved ones — especially during this period of visitor limitation, which has been implemented to protect our patients and staff from COVID-19. Each of our skilled nursing facility locations now has televisit capability via Zoom. This means you can visit virtually with your loved one from your home (or location of your choice).
