- Who We Are
- What We Do
Mapleshire is a 120-bed, long-term, skilled nursing care and rehabilitation center located in Morgantown, West Virginia, which is considered the medical heartbeat of the region. In this historic part of The Mountain State, you will find the home of West Virginia University and its prestigious medical campus and state-of-the-art research facilities.
The entire staff of Mapleshire understands this can be a difficult time for families and loved ones, so it is a paramount goal to make your experience both encouraging and pleasing. Rest assured that we are committed to meeting our residents’ comprehensive needs in an efficient and courteous manner.
When needed, Mapleshire utilizes advanced services provided by Ruby Memorial Hospital as well as Monongalia General Hospital. Located within a mile of both Morgantown-based medical centers, Mapleshire is also conveniently placed in close proximity to many residents’ private physicians and our facility’s managing medical director.
At Mapleshire, two wings of the facility are designed for semi-private living quarters, which furnish two beds per room. However, we do offer eight private rooms, with four of the private rooms located in each of the separate wings.
Our facility has four centrally located courtyards that residents thoroughly enjoy. Mapleshire’s secure grounds provide a setting for pleasant views and nature’s simplicities. In warmer months, residents take advantage of outdoor green spaces where they can play games, plant flowers and even cultivate a vegetable garden. Most often, residents prefer leisure time in the courtyards to chat with friends or read a good book.
Our enthusiastic staff at Mapleshire is dedicated to helping residents heal, both physically and emotionally, so they may return to a more gratifying lifestyle. Many activities are planned throughout the year, including special events during sporting seasons, themed parties and dances. Each day, we offer residents the opportunity to participate in Mapleshire’s fine dining program, where residents are served meals in an elegantly decorated room with multiple windows and views of the landscaped courtyards.
A variety of amenities are offered to aid in health and well-being while improving the residents sense of independence in a comfortable, home-like experience.
